The Rock House Podcast Features Mrs. Elaine Friedlander

Students, Families, and Friends,

I instruct over 30 students per week in piano performance, theory, and composition, but who taught me to play the piano? You can have a glimpse into my musical education by listening to an interview with the instructor who taught me from the age of seven, Mrs. Elaine Friedlander.

Elaine Friedlander received her Bachelors Degree in both Performance and Music Education from the Philadelphia Musical Academy, and holds a Masters in Music Performance from West Chester University.  Mrs. Friedlander has been teaching piano since 1966 and has a busy private piano studio in West Chester, PA, and many of her students have been competition prize winners. A member of the Music Teachers National Association, Mrs. Friedlander has been demand as an adjudicator for piano competitions and music festivals.  She is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, the national musical honor society. She is currently on the board of the Pennsylvania Music Teachers Association as the conference chair.

The Rock House is a podcast I produce with my fiancee, Michelle Li, and we interview musicians and music industry professionals on a weekly basis. Mrs. Friedlander has been a great mentor to me and I hope you can find some inspiration and wisdom in her words.
